Pin Length matters! Short to Medium pins (16-22mm) - Good for most double coats as the length of the body coat is generally shorter. Great for wire coats. Good for the body of clippered Poodle styles. ONLY use on Drop Coats for leg coat or sanitary area.

Long pins (27-35mm) Perfect for Drop Coats! This is where a long pin pin brush really shines. Work through the coat layer by later and section by section. A long pin brush will be the most efficient.

Pin Brush Shape Differences: Oval for large areas and large dogs (the workhorse). Oblong great for styling (use for straightening coat or behind ears, toes, armpits). Pocket shapes for small areas and small dogs (or for junior handlers).
